Correction to Our Recent Bond Information Flyer
Posted Date: 09/24/26 (04:00 PM)
We apologize for an error in the bond information flyer recently mailed to the Silver Falls community. During the flyer's development, the monthly and annual tax examples for the average assessed property values were inadvertently changed, and the error was not caught during final proofing.
We want our community to have accurate information. The proposed bond is estimated to maintain the current bond tax rate of $1.88 per $1,000 of Assessed Value. The correct example is:
Marion County Properties in the District
Average Assessed Value: $233,208
Approximate Monthly Taxes: $36.54
Approximate Annual Taxes: $438.43
Clackamas County Properties in the District
Average Assessed Value: $221,002
Approximate Monthly Taxes: $34.62
Approximate Annual Taxes: $415.48
In Oregon, bond taxes are calculated using a property's Assessed Value, not its Real Market Value. Assessed Value is the taxable value established under Oregon law and is typically much lower than a property's market value.
We apologize for the error and any confusion it may have caused. We will send the corrected amounts in our next informational flyer, which will be mailed soon.
