Silver Falls School District Budget Committee – Now Accepting Applications

Silver Falls School District is seeking dedicated community members to fill four vacancies on our Budget Committee. These positions help guide the financial planning that supports students, staff, and programs across the district.

Term Length:
This appointment fills the remainder of a vacated seat and will run through June 30, 2028.

What the Budget Committee Does:
Members review the proposed district budget, participate in budget meetings, and help ensure our resources are aligned with community priorities and student needs. Responsibilities are outlined in Board Policy DBEA.

Who Can Apply:
Applicants must:
• Be a registered voter
• Be a resident of Silver Falls School District
• Not be an officer, agent, or employee of the district

Preferred qualifications include: involvement in school or community activities, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to attend meetings, and willingness to review district budget materials.

Important Dates:
• January 9, 2026: Applicants will be invited to attend the Board meeting to introduce themselves
• Applications due: January 15, 2026 at 4 PM.
• February 2026: Board interviews may be held in open session.
