As part of long-range facilities planning, Silver Falls School District uses school facilities assessments to understand the current condition of its buildings and sites. These assessments provide a clear, data-informed picture of where facilities are today and help guide future planning decisions.
Each assessment reviews key areas, including:
🏫 Building systems such as roofs, windows, plumbing, and HVAC
🏫 Electrical and mechanical systems related to safety, reliability, and efficiency
🏫 Safety and security features, including access control and fire systems
🏫 Accessibility for students, staff, and community members
Site conditions like parking, traffic flow, and campus grounds
Silver Falls recently revisited its 2019 facilities assessments alongside a more recent statewide assessment conducted through the Oregon Department of Education’s statewide School Facilities Assessment Program. BRIC Architecture reviewed both assessments, took a deep look at each facility and provided the district with updated and revised findings, ensuring the Long Range Facilities Committee has current, consistent information as it reviews the Long Range Facilities Plan. Portions of these findings were discussed at the committee’s second meeting. The full report will be provided to the district in late March.
