In response to the latest weather forecasts and out of an abundance of caution for the safe travel of all students and staff, all district schools will follow a 1-hour Early Release schedule on Friday, January 12 (this is the same as our usual Wednesday schedule).

Key Details:

  • School Dismissal: Each school will dismiss students one hour earlier than the usual time.

  • After-School Activities: All after-school programs and activities scheduled for Friday will be canceled or postponed. If you have specific questions about a specific sport or activity, please reach out to your coach or advisor directly.

  • Transportation: School buses will operate according to the early release schedule. Please expect your child to arrive home approximately one hour earlier than usual.

  • Lunch Services: Lunch will be provided as usual, with adjustments to the schedule as needed.

We understand that this change may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility. The decision to release early is made with the safety of our entire school community in mind.

Monitoring the Situation: District officials continue to monitor the weather situation. Should there be a need for additional schedule changes, we will notify you as soon as possible.

Staying Informed: Please stay tuned to ParentSquare, our district website, and local news for any further updates. We encourage you to ensure your contact information is up-to-date in our systems to receive timely notifications.

Building Safety over the Weekend: Please avoid district facilities and grounds over the weekend due to the potential for unsafe conditions caused by ice and snow. For public safety, gates will be locked and locations secured.

Your cooperation and support in ensuring the safety of our students and staff are greatly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s school if you have any questions or concerns.
