Photograph of Taryn WoldSilver Falls School District is proud to announce the selection of Ms. Taryn Wold as the new principal for Central Howell and Pratum Elementary Schools, following a rigorous hiring process. Ms. Wold, a highly respected educator within the district, brings nearly 20 years of educational experience, including her time at Scotts Mills School, to her new role.

Ms. Wold holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and a master’s degree from Lesley University. At Scotts Mills School, she served as a middle school and 5th-grade teacher, instructional leader, and mentor teacher. She recently completed her administrative practicum through Portland State University.

Superintendent Scott Drue commended Ms. Wold, saying, “In what was our most rigorous selection process to date, Taryn consistently met the leadership standard we have set as a district. Her deep knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment is impressive, and we feel that not only is she the right fit for Central Howell and Pratum, but that she will also strengthen our overall leadership team.”

Ms. Wold is enthusiastic about her new role, stating, “I am absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to work with the amazing staff, students, and families at Central Howell and Pratum. Both schools have rich traditions, and I feel privileged to become a part of their communities.” She is committed to collaborating with staff, students, families, and community members to continue providing exceptional learning experiences for all students.
