Silverton Foxes Community,

For those in attendance at last Friday night’s football game, we got to witness an exciting, come from behind win for the Foxes. It showed the grit, determination, and never-quit attitude of the team and coaches. As a community member, alumni, and now the high school Athletic Director/Assistant Principal, I left the stadium feeling proud.

As good as the game was, we also learned that there are things that we can improve. As the Athletic Director, it is my direct responsibility to create an environment that is positive and safe for all in attendance, as well as to ensure that the management of the game is smooth.

The only way for us to do our jobs better and improve the experience for all is through constructive and positive feedback from our students, parents, staff, and community. Based on our experiences Friday, we have made changes for future home football contests (see diagram). I want to honor the athletic traditions that have made this school and community so great as well as preserving and taking care of the improvements made to our facilities. I am confident we can do this and give everyone the experience they have come to expect and deserve.

As the high school athletic director, I value your feedback, and invite you to email me directly if you have any questions or concerns. The most important thing I can do is to continue to build relationships within the community I now work in and have called home for over 60 years.

Sincerely,

Andrew Jones
Athletic Director/Assistant Principal
Silverton High School
