Good afternoon, Silver Falls Families.
I’m writing today with an important message regarding an upcoming change to the school calendar, which will make November 12th (the day after Veterans Day, next Friday) a non-student contact day. This decision was made in response to the insurmountable amount of extra tasks and duties placed on our workforce brought on by student and staff quarantines, maintaining virtual platforms, and an historic and crippling shortage of substitute teachers.
I recognize that this change may pose a challenge for some, but we truly believe our staff need this time to catch up on responsibilities that they have been unable to attend to because of issues listed above.
I offer my sincere gratitude for the hard work of our teachers and staff members, and to all the parents who do so much to support our school communities.
