Vacant Board Seat Filled

During the scheduled August 13th school board meeting, the Silver Falls School District board took action to interview and select a new school board member to represent the currently-vacant Zone 6 seat. From the pool of three applicants, the board selected Mr. Jonathan Edmonds as the new Zone 6 representative, filling the vacancy left by Todd White’s resignation earlier this summer.

Mr. Edmonds is a long-time resident of the area, and has served on several District task forces, as a Site Council member at Butte Creek school, and as PTT president for Butte Creek for 15 years.

Mr. Edmonds will be sworn in at the beginning of the board work session on August 20th, and will serve for the remainder of the current Zone 6 term, through June 30th of 2019.
