Intouch Parent Portal Instructions Heading Home
As with every new school year, September is a time of new beginnings and fresh starts. This is true both for our students as well as for the district itself. One of those beginnings, or changes, at the District this year, is the rollout of our new communications tool — Intouch, by Edulink systems.
Many of our families have noticed the change, and all of our families should have received at least two or three calls and/or emails from that system already this year. We’re pleased with the results overall, though we recognize there have been a few glitches here at the beginning of the new system. We appreciate your continued patience as we get those sorted out. We think you’ll be pleased with the level of communication we’ll be able to offer with this new system in place.
Many families are now in the situation where they’d like better control over how they are contacted by their children’s schools. We’re pleased to announce that the new Intouch Parent Portal is now live. Through the use of the Parent Portal, families can choose up to ten each of unique phone numbers, email addresses, and text message (SMS) numbers for the district to contact. Furthermore, this system will allow families to override the numbers already in the Intouch system, thus preventing the calling of, for example, a work phone number.
Instructions for creating your Parent Portal account will come home with your child at some point over the next few days. Please follow the instructions as outlined to create your account, and note that if you have multiple children attending school in the district, you will receive multiple sheets of login info, with unique codes per student. You need to create only one account, and can add each additional child from the account settings area of the Parent Portal. We look forward to the complete rollout of this tool, and hope you’ll find it a useful addition to your family’s communication plan with the district.
